Wayfinding is the art of finding your way without a fixed map. You read what’s in front of you, you follow what calls, and you make the path by walking it. That’s what this zine is for. Not just the making, but the noticing and choosing that the making trains you in.
Each month I will fill the pages of the zine with the hmmm’s and aha’s of a practice in motion: a technique, pattern, or color I’m testing; a perspective I hadn’t considered before; a moment of beauty I almost walked past.
Wayfinder is a small nudge to keep noticing. What’s caught your curiosity lately? A shape, a memory, a stray thought. This is a place to follow it, in whatever small way fits your month.
You’re integral to what keeps my practice evolving, month after month. Watching a practice unfold in the potential of unfinished work has a way of giving people permission for their own. If seeing me find my way opens something up in how you find yours, that’s what I’m after.
Each edition is its own object, made to be used and collected. Month by month they gather into a small library of your own, a record of where curiosity led.
