I’m Bonnie.

I am a multi-disciplinary artist and enjoy building, creating, and making things of all kinds. Art Trekker is my personal art studio. The name is a clue to how I work. Life is the trek, and it’s an artist’s path I follow. I’m in it for the discoveries and the fellow travelers met along the way. It’s an invitation for both of us to be Art Trekkers because it’s better with your company.

At the core of the practice is paying attention, following whatever catches my eye, making something of it, and being changed a little in the doing. I think of art as something I make, and also as a way of moving through the world: noticing what others walk past, asking why, choosing with care. Art-making is life-building.

I’m starting in the margins of my life, building toward a full-time studio. Evenings, weekends, the early quiet before the day starts. I’m working it out as I go, but the magic is in the exploring and experimenting.
